The Call for Abstracts is now closed.

We would like to thank all the contributors and look forward to a stimulating conference.

The Scientific Committee of the UKCS 2011 Conference invites the submission of abstracts for either oral or poster presentation OR IN OUR NEW SESSION “CHALLENGING CASES” where the cases will be discussed at the Conference by a multidisciplinary expert panel

(Please ensure that you specify which format you prefer for your presentation, if your abstract is accepted).

Please Select Below.

Deadline: 18.00 hours on 1st February 2011

  • Submit Free papers and posters
  • Submit a Challenging Case

Free papers and posters present present an excellent opportunity to stimulate debate, raise issues or highlight quality work being carried out by teams or individuals. Abstracts may be by way of an original paper/trial, audit, case study or a professional experience - the knowledge of which would be of benefit to others in the specialty.

We would like to encourage submission of work, which links to our theme of “Rising to the Challenge”. The challenge may have been designing and executing clinical trials to answer key questions or an audit reviewing an innovative way of working.

We would like to encourage presentation and debate on the widest possible range of topics within our speciality: we have much to learn from each other.

For those in training, the meeting provides opportunities to interact with leaders in our speciality, encouraged by Poster Walks and the chairs of sessions encouraging comment on work presented.

The programme allows for a significant number of oral presentations for particular themes and of interest to all those with an interest in promoting continence. These usually include (subject to the submission of suitable material): Faecal Incontinence, Urodynamics, Stress Incontinence and Neurogenic Bladder and Bowel Problems. The Committee is also interested in difficult and challenging case histories for the posters and for the Panel discussions.

We have aimed to keep the Abstract Submission process as simple as possible – so if you have not previously submitted an abstract, now is your opportunity!

It is an opportunity for a member of the team to present and discuss the management of a challenging condition. A representative selection of cases will be chosen to ensure a varied and educational session. Those cases not accepted for presentation to the panel but deemed of educational value will be offered a poster presentation. All accepted abstracts will be published.
