The
10th Anniversary Gala Dinner was held at the Assembly Rooms in George Street,
not far from the Royal College of Physicians.
The Assembly Rooms have a distinguished history with previous visitors including royals and notable figures such as Chopin and Dickens. The elegant rooms are ornately decorated with intricate plasterwork and crystal chandeliers.
After a drinks reception, a three course dinner was served. The ticket price included reception drinks, a 3 course dinner, wine and music making this a very special celebratory evening.
Accreditation
As well as accreditation awarded by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (14 credits), accreditation was also awarded by the Accreditation Council of Oncology in Europe (ACOE). ACOE is the body of educational experts nominated by the Federation of European Cancer Societies (FECS). ACOE has awarded this Conference 12 credits.IPHOUM 2006 Highlights DVD
As a special celebratory feature of the 2006 Update Meeting, each full Conference participant received a copy of the IPHOUM 2006 Highlights DVDs, the cost of which was included in the Registration Fee.
The Conference was video recorded and then the highlights of most clinical relevance have been edited down and made into 2 DVDs. Abstracts from invited speakers have also been included, as well as the abstracts of accepted posters. Via the production of these DVDs, the Organising Committee is keen that participants have a reference tool of material from this Conference, to assist them in taking useful information and knowledge back to their workplaces.
