REGISTRATION
Registrations should be made on the official Form , see left,
and sent to the Conference Secretariat with FULL payment. (Photocopies
of the Form will be accepted). The Registration Fee includes participation
in the scientific sessions from Monday through to Tuesday afternoon,
Exhibition, Conference Programme and Abstract Book, lunches on Monday
and Tuesday and teas/coffees.

Payment
Registrations should be made in full, in pounds sterling, either
by i) cheque drawn on a UK bank or ii) bank credit transfer free
of any charges to:-

It is absolutely essential that full details of any bank transfer
are provided with the Registration Form. It is only possible to
allocate received funds correctly with this documentation so is
in the interests of all payees using this method.
Cancellations
Cancellations should be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat.
Cancellations received before 15th April 2004 - full refund minus
25% administration charge.
Cancellations received between 15th April 2004 and 1st May 2004
- 50% refund.
Cancellations received after 1st May 2004 - no refund.
All approved refunds will be processed and issued 60 days after
the Conference.
HOTEL INFORMATION
The Organisers have made block bookings with the various hotels
close to the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh. Early booking
is recommended and to guarantee your accommodation you may either:
(i) provide your credit card number (NO DEPOSIT WILL BE DEDUCTED
UNLESS YOU DO NOT ARRIVE AT THE HOTEL)
(ii) provide payment of one night’s deposit which will be
forwarded on your behalf to the hotel.
All rates are per night and inclusive of breakfast and VAT unless
otherwise stated.

The hotel is about 15 minutes’ walk from the Royal College

This hotel is very accessible: it is just five minutes’ walk
away from Princes Street and just a fifteen minute walk to Queen
Street.

The hotel overlooks tree-lined gardens and is situated in Edinburgh’s

The George is well located in the city centre and most sights can
be easily reached. The hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from

The Ibis is situated in Downtown area of Edinburgh and is about
10 minutes’ walk from the Royal College of Physicians. Continental
breakfast is an extra charge of £4.95.

The Thistle Edinburgh is located just off the world famous Princes
Street. The hotel is only a short walk from Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood

Accommodation procedure
The accommodation account (less the pre-paid amount) including
ALL room extras is payable by you directly to the hotel on your
departure. Please note that where a credit card number has been
provided as a guarantee, this will be charged on departure from
your hotel, (and NOT before).
PLEASE NOTE THAT IN ORDER FOR TRANSFER OF FUNDS TO HOTELS TO TAKE
PLACE, ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED 14 DAYS AHEAD OF THE CONFERENCE.
PAYMENTS NOT RECEIVED 14 DAYS PRIOR WILL BE REFUNDED TO THE DELEGATE
BY THE CONFERENCE SECRETARIAT AND THE HOTEL WILL HAVE TO BE PAID
DIRECTLY BY THE DELEGATE.
Please note: Cancellations: all accommodation alterations or cancellations
must be submitted in writing to the Conference Secretariat. Any
cancellations after 15th April will incur a loss of deposit.
Guidance on discounted late bookings
The Organisers have endeavoured to obtain the best rates possible.
However, it may be possible for individuals to obtain cheaper rates
if bookings are made shortly before the Conference, either via agencies
on the Internet or direct to the hotel.
