EXHIBITION DETAILS

Continuing this successful series of Update Meetings, the Exhibition associated with this Conference offers an excellent opportunity to promote products to key medical professionals and receive good market information on this area of medicine.

The target audience comprises Paediatric Haematologists and Oncologists in advanced training or in consultant posts. As part of the team involved in Paediatrics, pharmacists, nurses and other professional staff are encouraged to attend. Over the years the event has attracted over 200 delegates mainly from the UK but also from Europe.

The successful formula of holding this important meeting biennially in Edinburgh in early summer has helped to establish it with the relevant experts in the field. It is a meeting which is looked forward to and enjoyed. The Organising Committee and the Conference Secretariat have worked together for years on this series, tuning in each time with participant feedback to ensure the best possible experience for all involved.

Please note that because of capacity restrictions within the venue, space within the Exhibition is limited and early booking is recommended. Plenty of sponsorship opportunities are available for companies seeking profile.

Located in the heart of the city, yet concealed within one of Edinburgh’s most interesting old buildings, is a modern purpose built Conference Centre which serves this meeting’s requirements very well.

SOCIAL EVENT

Much scientific and networking benefit is gained from a Conference during the social events. This Conference has a Conference Dinner which includes a pre-Dinner drinks Reception. The support of such events by companies will create much goodwill.

£3,000CONFERENCE DINNER: 14th June 2004

Following a very successful event in 2002, the Conference Dinner will again be held in the splendid grandeur of the Great Hall of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.

For this series, delegates are asked to pay for their Dinner tickets but this does mean that guests have a good commitment to the event and the Dinner attendance is usually a high proportion of the Conference audience. A company wishing for high profile may wish to sponsor the wine, music or pre-Dinner Reception. Sponsorship of this event represents excellent value at around £20 per head.

MUSIC: to be confirmed

Sponsoring the music will offer a high goodwill profile for your company. Please call to discuss this option so that your ideas can be fedback to the Committee for approval.

MAJOR SPONSORSHIP

Sponsors contributing over £7,000 to the 2004 Conference will receive: -

  • Free Exhibition space up to 6 m2.
  • Acknowledgement with all Registration Confirmation/Receipts.

SCIENTIFIC SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

£2,000SESSION SPONSORSHIP

Sessions will be variable in duration but for this series are all plenary. Sponsors will have acknowledgement in the

Programme and Abstract Book and have their own slide projected at the beginning of the session.

INTERNATIONAL SPEAKER TRAVEL GRANT

Main topic speakers - leaders in their field – will be invited to present at the Conference. The grant should cover their travel to and from the Conference and accommodation for the duration of the event.

Full acknowledgement will be given in the Programme and Abstract Book and by the chairman of the session.

Price dependent on speaker’s home location.

£4,000SATELLITE SYMPOSIA

Satellite Symposia may be scheduled into the programme. Sponsorship will include room hire and basic audio-visual facilities. The Organisers will also be able to include a promotional item in the delegate bags. Further publicity may be included in the Final Announcement and Programme Books if time allows after confirmation of booking.
Full acknowledgement will be given in the Programme and Abstract Book. Companies should forward their programme to the Organisers for referral to the Committee.
