Torquay

Invitation from the Chair of the Organising Committee

Looking back, Devon had a significant part to play many years ago in the original development of the ICS in the UK, now transformed into the UKCS. These forefathers worked in Exeter and the surrounding areas, so it is with very great pleasure that I invite all colleagues from across the specialities, as well as all of our company colleagues, to Devon for UKCS 2010.  Our Conference will take place in vibrant Torquay – on the English Riviera.

Do note the dates in your diary: 12th – 14th April 2010.

Clinical topics planned for this Conference

We have designed the Conference programme to offer a wide variety of updates on our professional practice as well as some general motivational presentations by top-level speakers from our region. (Confirmed invited speakers). We will include highly relevant aspects of our professional practice by way of the Call for Abstracts and further information on submitting your material is available [here].  The presentation of quality abstracts at the UKCS Conference is one of the reasons that the Meeting is always topical and popular.

Additionally this year there will be Workshops on the first morning of the Conference. These have limited spaces due to the style of presentation so it will be important to book early.

The networking opportunities of the UKCS Conference are always highly popular and Torquay will serve us well for our social events.  Our Gala Dinner will be great fun too and the dress-code will be black tie by popular request.
