Welcome Reception
Monday 18th June 2012, 7.30pm – 9.30pm
River Terrace, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art
(adjacent to The Sage)
Come and join us for an informal event in a landmark industrial building – now Centre for Contemporary Art. You can't miss BALTIC – standing proudly on the south bank of the River Tyne, adjacent to The Sage.
Our Welcome Reception will take place in the River Terrace, offering us excellent views of the River.
The aim of The Welcome Reception is to enable delegates to get-together informally before the main Conference begins, for meeting up with old friends and perhaps making some new ones. Drinks and canapés will be served.
Tickets are complimentary with Full Registration but you MUST indicate at the time of registering whether or not you wish to attend. Final numbers are required a week before the event, so very late bookers may not be able to attend.

Gala Dinner
Wednesday 20th June 2012, 7.30pm – midnight
Dress code: Lounge Suits
The Great Hall, Discovery Museum, Newcastle
The award winning Discovery Museum will make a fine backdrop to the 2012 Gala Dinner. Depicting life in Newcastle and Tyneside from the area's renowned maritime history and world-changing science and technology right through to fashion through the eras and military history, it is a very interesting venue. The museum is bursting with interactive displays, some relating to working lives.
Following a drinks reception, we will have dinner in The Great Hall. This will be an excellent opportunity for networking, which we know is crucially important to ASM participants.
A famous local band has been booked - Martin Stephenson and the Daintees - and our after-dinner speaker will be Chris Mullin, author, journalist and former MP.
This promises to be a very enjoyable evening and we ask you to book in plenty of time.
Ticket price is £50 and is NOT included in the Registration Fee. Please indicate at the time of registering whether or not you wish to attend. Additional guests are welcome. Final numbers are required a week before the event, so very late bookers may not be able to attend.
