Who should attend?

This course will be of interest to:

  • GPs
  • GP registrars
  • Allied Health Professionals – anyone who requests imaging

This is a new initiative by Dr Kim Farmer, Radiology Consultant, Royal Cornwall Hospital.
Dr Farmer will run the first of the “Radiology for Primary Care” courses on Tuesday 11th October, 9am to 4.30pm at the Headland Hotel, Newquay.

Headland hotelRadiology has seen a huge change over the last 10 years with significant advances in interventional procedures, increased accessibility, a significant reduction in waiting times and increased use of radiology within patient care pathways.

There is an increasing pressure on primary care to request complex investigations and act on the results.

This course will provide an evidence-based update to assist in increasing efficiency in the use of the imaging department based on Royal College and NICE guidelines and local referral pathways.

The format will be didactic presentations with plenty of opportunity for discussion.

There will be an open forum session to allow discussion of topics not covered in lectures.

This course will provide ample opportunity for evaluation of patient care pathways in line with the RCGPs guidelines for gaining CPD points. Topics to be covered.

The course fee is £85 for the day and includes morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea, course handout and certificate of attendance. More registration information
