Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society is a professional society and international in scope. Our members are healthcare professionals dedicated to acquiring knowledge and improving practice for our critically ill patients with congenital and acquired heart disease
PCICS was formed to provide an international professional forum to promote excellence in pediatric cardiac critical care medicine.
PCICS hosts a biennial Congress in North America and in 2008 hosted the first PCICS Europe Congress in Monte Carlo.
The PCICS Europe 2011 Conference will continue to be a forum for excellence in paediatric cardiac intensive care.

The Paediatric Intensive Care Society
The Society was founded in 1987 as a multidisciplinary forum for those involved and interested in paediatric intensive care. The aims of the Society are to promote training and education by:
- stimulating research
- promoting collaborative studies
- providing a forum for discussion and specialist advice
- collecting information through the council of the society
- offering a focus for paediatric intensive care in the UK.
The founders of the society launched our inaugural membership campaign in 2003. By the end of 2005, we had held our first Symposium. The Symposium is an annual professional development conference, and attracts delegates from the UK and abroad.

Association for European Paediatric Cardiology (AEPC)
Association Européenne pour la Cardiologie Pédiatrique, the Association for European Paediatric Cardiology (AEPC) was founded in Lyon in 1963 and subsequently has created a network of specialists working in the same field encountering similar problems. The mission of AEPC is to promote (a) the knowledge of the normal and diseased heart and circulation and (b) exchange of knowledge and (c) continuous education.
