No other city motivates conference delegates quite like Manchester. Morning, noon and night the
city fizzes with excitement, setting a searing pace in everything from architecture and urban renewal to music and nightlife.

2.5 million people live and work here, forming one of Europe's largest economic regions, while overseas visitors are arriving in ever increasing numbers to put Manchester in the top three most
visited cities in Britain.

In the city centre a who's who of designer names like Harvey Nichols, Vivienne Westwood, Armani and Louis Vuitton jostle for position, attracting legions of new visitors to the city A few minutes from the centre lie the big players in the sporting field ~ Manchester United and Manchester City, Sale Sharks and Lancashire County Cricket Club to name but a few. Venture a little further afield and there are numerous fine stately homes and parks to discover.

The beauty of it all is that Manchester's myriad attractions are supremely easy to access via an unparalleled transport network encompassing excellent motorways links, a comprehensive rail network and an airport which currently serves 180 direct destinations worldwide, including 19 domestic routes.
