Oral Presenters: (For Discussed Posters – see below)
Your timings and duration
Please note carefully the specific timings of your presentation. In order to stage as full and interesting programme as possible, Chairmen and Moderators have been briefed to keep presenters strictly to time. Please do not over-run – it spoils the professionalism of the meeting.
Your slides
- Please bring your presentation as Powerpoint Slides, on a CD, DVD or USB storage device.Â
- All versions of Microsoft Powerpoint are supported, up to Powerpoint 2010.
- Please allow plenty of time for pre-loading your presentation to the main computer. We would welcome your downloading of your Slides as soon as you arrive at the Congress.
- We do not allow presenters to use their own laptops for presentation because the change-over can cause delay and disruption to the programme.
Discussed Poster Presenters:
Posters
Posters should be no larger than 95cm wide and 110 cm high, PORTRAIT orientation.
The text on posters should be legible from a distance of up to 2m.
- Fixing materials will be provided at the Congress to attach posters to boards.
- Each poster has been allocated an area to be displayed, with a poster number. This number cannot be moved or the poster location swapped for any other.Â
- It would be helpful if poster presenters referred to the Poster Listing (link) before the Congress, to know and remember their poster reference code(s).
- Posters should be put into place as early as possible on the first day of the Conference and removed at the end of the Conference.Â
- Authors of posters are invited to be by their posters during break times through the Congress, to meet and discuss the poster with other participants.
- Additionally, an expert-led Poster Walk will take place on Saturday afternoon at the end of the day’s programme and all presenters are encouraged to be by their posters to share their work with colleagues.
- PLEASE REMEMBER TO TAKE YOUR POSTER HOME WITH YOU! THE CONGRESS CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR POSTERS LEFT BEHIND.
Slides
- Each Discussed Poster Presenter will be given 1 minute to summarize the poster, followed by 2 minutes’ discussion.
- Please use 1 slide to illustrate your poster.
- This is a rapid session and Chairmen and Moderators have been briefed to keep presenters strictly to time. Please ensure that your presentation lasts for 1 minute only and please do not over-run.
